| The stone wall the guys are sitting in front of when the picture was taken, is a head stone built by the first unit to take over this FOB (Forward Operation Base). It represents the first Soldier lost on this base. The Soldier was 2LT Bernstein, that is how this base got its name. Since the discovery of this base every Soldier that has fallen in battle has their name added on the wall along with the Unit or Battalion the Soldier was from. |
